Διδύμων

Οὗτοι λέγονται Διόσκουροι εἶναι· ἐν δὲ τῇ Λακωνικῇ τραφέντες ἐπιφάνειαν ἔσχον, φιλαδελφίᾳ δὲ ὑπερήνεγκαν πάντας· οὔτε γὰρ περὶ ἀρχῆς οὔτε περὶ ἄλλου τινὸς ἤρισαν· μνήμην δὲ αὐτῶν Ζεὺς θέσθαι βουλόμενος τῆς κοινότητος, Διδύμους ὀνομάσας εἰς τὸ αὐτὸ ἀμφοτέρους ἔστησεν ἐν τοῖς ἄστροις.
