Lunar Eclipse Simulation Software LmapWin (Version 2.62)

LmapWin Overview

LmapWin simulate the Lunar eclipse from 13000BC to 16999AD.

The LmapWin Eclipse simulation software has the following main features.

1) Display of the Eclipse Map
The LmapWin calculates and draws the eclipse on the world map.
2) Display of the Local Circumstance
The LmapWin calculate the local circumstance such as maximum magnitude,
time , altitude of the moon and direction at the given place.
3) Display of the Sky at Max. Magnitude
The LmapWin display the Sky view at maximum magnitude if that point is in
the area of the total eclipse.

The improved point of Version 2.61 from Version 2.62

 1) The ΔT adjustment
   -corrected Delta T difference between DE431 and DE441. (Only affects years before AD890)
  T = T + -0.07263*year + 64.9; (AD690: 0.2sec AD1:+64.9sec, BC700: +115.7sec)
   - Corrected the formula for ancient and future Delta T.
    Before: delat T = -20 + 32 x ( (year-1820)/100)^2 year<-800 & year>3350
    After : delat T = -10 + 31.4 x ( (year-1825)/100)^2 year<-946 & year>3538
   - Corrected the formula for ancient and future Delta T.
    Before: Year 2100 to 3350 :(Values from -720 to 1820 are symmetrically inverted)-100 sec
    After : Year 2100 to 3538 :(Values from -720 to 1820 are symmetrically inverted)-81 sec

The LmapWin calculates based on the Bessel elements attached with the
software.The Bessel elements are for the eclipses from 13000BC to 16999AD.
